How quickly do I need to get my flowers to you?

Keep your flowers in water from the time you leave the ceremony (or preferably during the ceremony!) until they get to me. Flowers can be dropped off the day after the event. If your event has already happened and you are not sure if I will be able to work with them due to their condition, email me a picture of the flowers and I will let you know!

How should I care for my wreath and shadow box/pressed flowers?

These indoor wreaths keep best in a dry environment. Keep your preserved flowers away from humidity and direct sunlight. Store your wreaths in a cardboard or plastic box in a neutral environment when not in use (i.e., not in the damp basement, and not in the hot attic).

How long can I expect my wreath to last?

As long as you keep your wreath in a dry area, you should be able to enjoy your preserved bouquet for many years. As these flowers are exposed to the environment and will gradually collect dust, the wreaths are not guaranteed to last forever and the color will fade over time. After five years of preserving flowers, I can now say that many of my first customers still enjoy their wreaths!

Can you do anything with flowers I already dried on my own?

Absolutely! I frequently make pieces with flowers that are already dried. Send me an email!

How long does the preservation process take?

Due to the varied nature of each project, it is impossible to provide an exact date at which your project will be complete. Please allow at least six months for your project to be complete.

What is the longest lasting preservation option?

Pressed flowers and flowers preserved and stored in a shadow box or the oval dome behind glass will last decades. These flowers are not exposed to the air as the boxes are sealed to minimize the effects of humidity. They will maintain their shape with minimal fading as long as the finished product is kept out of direct sunlight or humidity. Another option for allowing your future children to carry your flowers as they walk down the aisle is flower petal jewelry or a rosary!

What is flower petal jewelry

Flower petal jewelry is made from crushed flowers rolled into beads with .925 sterling silver findings.

Will the flowers keep their color?

Some slight color change during the first year can be expected, especially with white flowers. Deep reds, pinks, and purples occasionally show slight darkening during the preservation process. This change is unavoidable, however it is minimal and not likely to detract from the bouquet’s beauty. Most of the color change occurs within the first year and I recommend that customers keep their preserved flowers out of direct sunlight.
